Shopify Integration

OpenClaw AI Agents for Shopify

Five pre-configured agents connected to your Shopify Admin API — monitoring orders via webhooks, syncing inventory in real time, handling support tickets, running marketing campaigns, and coordinating everything automatically. Deployed on your own server. Managed by us.

Not a Shopify App Store app. Your agents run on your server, connected via the Admin API — so your data never leaves your infrastructure.

How It Connects

Connected to Your Shopify Admin API

Your OpenClaw instance connects directly to Shopify via the Admin API and registered webhooks. Real-time data flow, full read/write access, zero polling delays.

The part nobody mentions: most Shopify AI tools poll for changes every few minutes. Webhooks mean your agent knows about a new order the moment it happens.

Webhook Listeners

Your OpenClaw instance registers Shopify webhooks for orders, customers, inventory, and fulfillments. Every event hits your server in real time — no polling, no delays.

Real-Time Sync

Bidirectional data flow between your Shopify store and your OpenClaw agents. Stock changes, order updates, and customer records stay current across every channel.

Admin API

Full read/write access to your Shopify Admin API — orders, products, inventory, customers, discounts, and fulfillments. Your agents operate with the same access you have.

Storefront API

Your Marketing Agent reads storefront data — collections, product availability, pricing — to build campaigns that reflect what customers actually see on your store.

Five Agents

What Each Agent Does for Your Shopify Store

Each agent is pre-configured with Shopify-specific skills and connected to your Admin API. Running on your server. Managed 24/7 by our team.

Order AgentMonitors Shopify Orders via Webhooks

All Plans

The moment a customer clicks "Place Order," your Order Agent receives the webhook, validates the payment, checks for fraud flags, and routes the order to fulfillment. No manual queue checks. No missed orders.

  • Receives `orders/create` and `orders/updated` webhooks in real time
  • Validates payments and flags high-risk orders for manual review
  • Auto-triggers fulfillment via Shopify Fulfillment API when conditions are met
  • Tracks return requests and processes refund workflows within your defined rules
  • Sends order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery notifications to customers

Inventory AgentSyncs Shopify Stock Across All Channels

All Plans

Your Inventory Agent monitors every SKU in your Shopify store and syncs stock levels with Amazon, WooCommerce, and Walmart in real time. When a unit sells on Shopify, counts update everywhere — no spreadsheets, no oversells.

  • Listens to `inventory_levels/update` webhooks for instant stock tracking
  • Syncs variant-level inventory across Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, and Walmart
  • Predicts stockouts using actual sales velocity and alerts you days in advance
  • Auto-generates purchase order drafts with quantities based on demand patterns
  • Tracks reorder lead times per supplier so POs are sent at the right time

Support AgentHandles Shopify Customer Tickets Automatically

All Plans

Your Support Agent handles the repetitive inquiries that consume your day — WISMO ("Where is my order?"), return requests, sizing questions, and discount code issues. It pulls order data directly from your Shopify Admin API and resolves tickets without you lifting a finger.

  • Resolves WISMO queries by pulling tracking data directly from Shopify Fulfillment API
  • Processes refunds and exchanges within the rules you define — no guesswork
  • Detects customer frustration using sentiment analysis and escalates when needed
  • Manages review responses and customer feedback across your Shopify store
  • Looks up order history, customer profiles, and product details from your Admin API

Marketing AgentShopify Discount Codes, Cart Recovery, Campaigns

Growth & Scale

Your Marketing Agent creates unique Shopify discount codes via the Price Rules API, identifies abandoned carts, triggers recovery sequences, and runs targeted email campaigns — all based on real customer behavior from your store.

  • Generates unique, trackable discount codes via Shopify Price Rules API
  • Detects abandoned carts via `checkouts/create` webhooks and triggers recovery emails
  • Segments customers by spend tier, purchase recency, location, and behavior
  • Schedules and runs email campaigns with A/B testing on subject lines and offers
  • Tracks campaign ROI in real time — revenue attributed, conversion rate, cost per acquisition

Orchestration AgentCoordinates All Agents, Cross-Agent Workflows

Growth & Scale

The Orchestration Agent is the coordinator. When a customer requests a refund, it routes the ticket from Support to Orders, checks stock via Inventory, and updates the Marketing Agent to exclude that customer from upsell campaigns. One event, four agents, zero manual coordination.

  • Coordinates cross-agent workflows — a support ticket that requires inventory checks and refunds
  • Resolves conflicts when two agents need the same resource or make competing decisions
  • Manages task priorities based on urgency, customer value, and your business rules
  • Provides a unified activity log so you see every agent action in one place
  • Triggers multi-step automations that span orders, inventory, support, and marketing

Live on Shopify in 7 Days

From signing up to a fully operational OpenClaw agent connected to your Shopify store — here is what each day looks like.

Seven days. Not seven weeks. We've done this enough times to know exactly what breaks and how to prevent it.

Day 1

Server Provisioned & OpenClaw Deployed

We provision your private server (VPS or Mac Mini), install OpenClaw, and configure the base environment. Your instance is running before end of day.

Day 2

Shopify Admin API Connected

We connect your Shopify store via the Admin API — orders, products, inventory, customers, and fulfillments. Webhooks are registered and tested.

Day 3–4

Agents Configured & Skills Activated

All five agents are configured with Shopify-specific skills — `shopify-orders`, `shopify-inventory`, `shopify-customers`, `shopify-discounts`. Each skill is tested against your live store data.

Day 5

Messaging Channels Connected

We connect your preferred messaging channels — Slack (included), WhatsApp, or Telegram. You can talk to your agent and see it respond with real Shopify data.

Day 6–7

Testing, Tuning & Handoff

We run end-to-end tests on every workflow — order processing, inventory sync, support ticket handling, marketing campaigns. Your agent goes live with confidence.

Shopify Apps vs OpenClaw

Six Shopify Apps or One OpenClaw Agent

Most Shopify stores run 4-6 apps for operations. Here is what changes when one OpenClaw agent handles all of it on your own server.

We've seen stores paying $800+/mo across six disconnected apps. One OpenClaw deployment replaces all of them.

Area
Shopify Apps (4-6 Subscriptions)
OpenClaw Agent (1 Deployment)
Order processing
ShipStation ($25-$160/mo) + manual Shopify admin checks
Order Agent captures, validates, fulfills, and notifies automatically via webhooks
Inventory management
Stocky or Skubana ($500+/mo) + spreadsheets for cross-channel sync
Inventory Agent syncs all channels in real time, predicts stockouts, generates PO drafts
Customer support
Gorgias ($300+/mo) or Zendesk ($69/agent/mo) — per-seat pricing adds up fast
Support Agent resolves tickets automatically on your own server — flat monthly fee
Marketing
Klaviyo ($150+/mo) + Privy ($30/mo) + manual segmentation and code creation
Marketing Agent segments customers, generates discount codes, runs campaigns, tracks ROI
Coordination
You — manually checking 4-5 disconnected app dashboards every morning
Orchestration Agent coordinates all agents 24/7 with cross-agent workflows
Data ownership
Spread across vendor servers you do not control or audit
All data on your own server — VPS or Mac Mini. Full SSH access. You own everything.
Monthly cost
$500–$2,000+ across disconnected subscriptions
Starting at $299/mo for 3 agents (Orders, Inventory, Support) — 5 agents on Growth & Scale

FAQ

Shopify Integration Questions

Does MyEcomClaw install as a Shopify app?
No. MyEcomClaw is not a Shopify App Store app. We deploy OpenClaw on your own private server and connect it to your Shopify store via the Admin API. Your agents run on your infrastructure, not inside the Shopify ecosystem. This means your data stays on your server and you are not subject to Shopify app review restrictions.
What Shopify API scopes does the integration require?
Your OpenClaw instance connects via a custom Shopify app with scopes for read/write access to orders, products, inventory, customers, fulfillments, price rules, and discounts. We configure the exact scopes needed during setup — nothing more. You can review and revoke access at any time from your Shopify admin.
Can the agents work with Shopify Plus features?
Yes. OpenClaw agents work with standard Shopify and Shopify Plus stores. For Plus stores, agents can interact with additional APIs like Shopify Flow, custom checkout scripts, and multi-location inventory. If you have custom workflows or scripts, we configure agents to work with them during setup.
How does real-time sync work with other channels like Amazon and WooCommerce?
Your Inventory Agent maintains a unified stock count across all connected channels. When a sale happens on Shopify, the agent receives the webhook, updates the master count on your server, and pushes the new stock level to Amazon (SP-API), WooCommerce (REST API), and Walmart (Marketplace API). The same flow works in reverse — a sale on Amazon triggers an update across Shopify and all other channels.
What happens if a webhook is missed or Shopify has an outage?
OpenClaw includes a heartbeat scheduler that periodically reconciles data with your Shopify Admin API. If a webhook is missed due to a network issue or Shopify outage, the reconciliation job catches it within minutes. We also configure webhook retry logic and dead-letter handling so nothing falls through the cracks.
Can I keep using my existing Shopify apps alongside the agents?
Yes. Your OpenClaw agents operate via the Shopify Admin API — they do not interfere with installed Shopify apps. Many store owners start by running agents alongside existing tools, then gradually retire apps as the agents prove themselves. There is no conflict because the agents work at the API level, not the app level.
How long does it take to go live on Shopify?
Most Shopify stores are fully live within 7 days. Day 1: server provisioned. Day 2: Shopify API connected. Days 3-4: agents configured and skills tested. Day 5: messaging channels connected. Days 6-7: end-to-end testing and handoff. Growth and Scale plans include guided and white-glove onboarding to make this even faster.
